We love bike rides by the river in summer. We stop to feed the swans and ducks (and shoo away the seagulls!).
Sometimes we take a picnic or get icecreams!
Some warm evenings we go for walks to watch the sun set and see the lights. We have a few of my friends and their Mums (who are Mum's friends) come with us on our walks sometimes which is great fun. We race our bikes together and hide from our mums to surprise them!

Story from Mum
Cale loves to wake up before anyone else, put on his dressing gown and sneak into the lounge room to watch cartoons in the morning.
One morning when I came to find him, I was amazed to see Cale holding a sleeping Cloudy cat on his lap!!! To give you some history... Lance has set a goal to have Cloudy sitting on his lap (she has always hated laps - so its impossible) and has been feeding her treats, spending hours patting her and generally trying to turn her against me and become her favourite :). Anyway... imagine my imazement to see Cale holding her sleeping on his lap.
I asked my darling boy - "how did you do it?" He just looked proudly and nonchalantly said "I've just been patting her". Anyway, I was flabbergasted but thought "yes!" Lance is going to hate this... so I ran and got the camera and started shooting. Cale took some proud shots and continued boasting.
Later in the day I relayed the story to Lance with a "so there!!" attitude... he then told me that he witnessed Cale struggling with Cloudy in the morning for ages, until she gave up, tired herself out and fell asleep on his lap!!! Poor little girl! My ratbag son didn't tell me any of this of course... he simply let me believe he had some special skill and took all the glory! He even boasted about it later to try to get more praise! O dear!
